Contract Type:
Full-time The Yello Digital Centre in Binka, established under the MTN Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is a community hub dedicated to bridging the digital divide. The centre provides digital literacy training, ICT skills development, entrepreneurship support, and access to digital tools to empower youth, women, and underserved groups in the region. Managed by BINDECA, the centre aims to foster local economic growth and social empowerment.
Job Purpose:
The Resident Centre Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure financial sustainability, coordinate training programs, engage the community, and maintain stakeholder relationships to achieve the centre’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including adherence to business hours.
- Supervise staff, volunteers, and service providers.
- Maintain facility security, equipment, and internet connectivity.
2. Financial Sustainability:
- Develop and implement income-generating activities (e.g., membership fees, paid courses, document processing).
- Monitor revenue streams and meet annual budget targets.
- Support fundraising efforts through grants and partnerships
3. Training and Community Engagement:
- Organize digital literacy, ICT, and entrepreneurship training programs.
- Conduct outreach initiatives (workshops, open days, school partnerships).
- Gather feedback through surveys and evaluations.
4. Reporting and Stakeholder Coordination:
- Submit bi-annual reports (June 30 and December 31) on attendance, revenue, and impact.
- Liaise with, Management Committee, Strategic committee.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Business Administration, Education, Community Development, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in managerial roles, preferably in community development, ICT, or training centres.
- Proven track record in financial management and revenue generation.
- Experience working with NGOs, CSR projects, or digital inclusion initiatives is an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in digital tools, social media, and basic ICT troubleshooting.
- Ability to engage diverse stakeholders (youth, women, local leaders). Personal Attributes:
